Sensei Jeremy McCann Sensei Jeremy McCann is the owner and chief instructor of Bluewater Martial Arts Academy in Rockland, Ontario, Canada. The school was founded in 1995. He is also the founding editor of theBudoTrader, an e-newsletter for the martial arts community. theBudoTrader is currently received in more than 200 schools throughout Canada and has recipients in Europe, Australia, Japan and the United States.

Sensei Jeremy McCann has black belts in Tae Kwon Do, Karate and Jiu-Jitsu. His training began with the Bluewater Tae Kwon Do Association, in southwestern Ontario, under the tutelage of Master Raymond Sandison, Instructor Lorrie Williams, Master Norm Lepine, Master James Taylor and Grand Master Young Su Choung. His move to the Ottawa area introduced him to Sensei J. Matt Christopher, who he trained under and eventually became partnered with in a dojo. Sensei Jeremy furthered his training under Professor Gerry Perrier, Sensei Fern Cleroux and O'Sensei Georges Sylvain. He is currently a 4 th Dan, certified by O'Sensei Georges Sylvain in 2000.

Sensei Jeremy McCann is a consummate student who trains with several schools in the Ottawa area as often as possible. Kali-Jitsu under the tutalge of Professor Ray Zwicker is his most prominent focus at this time.

Besides teaching at Bluewater, Sensei Jeremy McCann has taught at many martial arts training camps. He has taught at schools and childcare facilities. He has also given self-protection courses for REACT International, VCARS and Industry Canada.

Sensei Jeremy McCann enjoyed prominence as a competitor in forms, self-defense, light-contact, semi-contact, full contact, grappling and sport jiu-jitsu, having achieved top three finishes in each category nationally or internationally.
